The conversion and storage heart of your energy system
Solar panels and generators produce electricity in forms that rarely match what your appliances need. Inverters, chargers and batteries bridge that gap. They convert direct current into clean alternating current, regulate charging so batteries last, and store energy for use after dark or during outages. Selecting these components correctly is the difference between a system that quietly performs for years and one that trips, overheats or fades early.
We supply pure sine wave inverters, hybrid inverters with built-in solar charge controllers, grid-tied string inverters, MPPT charge controllers, mains and generator chargers, and battery banks in lithium and deep-cycle chemistries.
Choosing the right inverter
Inverter sizing begins with continuous power and surge capacity. Motors, pumps and compressors can draw several times their running power for a moment at start-up, so the inverter must handle that peak. Then check voltage compatibility: the panel string voltage must fit the inverter MPPT window, and the battery voltage, commonly 12, 24 or 48 volts, must match the battery bank. Hybrid inverters simplify installation because they manage solar, battery, grid and generator in one unit, while separate components offer flexibility for specialised sites.
Lithium or deep-cycle batteries?
Lithium iron phosphate batteries offer high usable capacity, long cycle life, fast charging and low maintenance, which usually gives a lower cost per delivered kilowatt-hour over time. Deep-cycle lead-acid batteries have a lower upfront price and are well understood, but they typically allow shallower discharge and shorter life. We help you compare usable capacity, depth of discharge, cycle rating, warranty and operating temperature so the decision reflects total cost of ownership, not just the price tag.
Smart charging and protection
A battery management system protects against overcharge, deep discharge, overheating and imbalance. Intelligent chargers and MPPT controllers extract maximum energy from panels and apply charging profiles suited to the chemistry. Correct fuses, breakers and cable sizes complete the protection. These details are easy to overlook in a lowest-price quotation, and they matter most when something goes wrong.
Common mistakes we help you avoid
The most frequent errors in battery-based systems are undersized inverters that trip on motor start-up, battery banks that cannot deliver the required current, mismatched voltages, undersized cables and charge settings that do not suit the chosen battery chemistry. Mixing old and new batteries in one bank is another common cause of premature failure. Our team checks these details before supply, then documents recommended settings so installers and owners know how the system should be configured.
Generator and grid charging options
Chargers and hybrid inverters can restore batteries from the grid or a generator when solar output is low. Correctly configured, this reduces generator run time and keeps stored energy ready for peak demand.
Technical support for installers
Electricians and installers can ask us to check wiring diagrams, communication settings and battery compatibility before ordering. This avoids costly returns and speeds up commissioning.
Warranty and replacement guidance
We explain warranty periods, cycle limits and claim procedures for inverters and batteries in plain terms before purchase, so you know what is covered and what care is expected.
Backup runtime and expansion
Backup time equals usable battery energy divided by the load you want to supply. A 10 kWh usable battery running a 1 kW load lasts about ten hours, minus conversion losses. If you may add appliances or panels later, specify an inverter and battery architecture that allows it. Our guides on battery capacity and inverter selection explain the calculations.
